Product Description:
Uva-Ursi or the Bearberry is a small shrub appreciated for its leaves used for the proper functioning of the urinary system. It belongs to the Ericaceae family and is a persistent shrub found in dry mountain forests, under pines and larches. It can be recognized by its tortuous branches, brown-red, with smooth bark, spread out in all directions with small shiny, leathery leaves, similar to those of boxwood. The bell-shaped flowers tightened at the end are pinkish-white in color and will give round red fruits in late summer. Its berries are edible, but mainly the leaves have medicinal virtues.
