Product Description:
The slippery elm is a large tree native to North America sought after for its bark which has many benefits. It belongs to the genus Ulmus and is usually over 30m tall. Native Americans have always used this tree's inner bark (the bast) in herbal medicine and transmitted these uses to European settlers who quickly adopted them. During the American Civil War era, military surgeons used slippery elm bark poultices to heal soldiers' wounds. From 1820 to 1960, slippery elm bast was included in the official United States Pharmacopoeia as an emollient, mucous membrane softener, and cough suppressant.

I've been taking this as part of my regiment to heal leaky gut and the symptomatic digestive problems. My digestion has noticeably improved. Slippery elm seems to be a better option for me than similar herbs (e.g., marshmallow root). I recommend you try this slippery elm tincture for yourself! I love that it's alcohol free, and no other undesirable ingredients. Tastes good, too.

My dog has struggled with chemotherapy induced diarrhea and other gastrointestinal upsets for several months, off and on.
With our Veterinarian' suggestion to try this supplement, rather than the medications we had been trying, I was willing to try anything that would help.
Slippery Elm Bark [alcohol free] has been amazing for my dog's GI system [healthy poops] and it seems to have lowered his bile regurg as well. He is still on other prescription medications to prevent nausea and vomiting, pain control, and GERD prevention, but his symptoms are less with the addition of Slippery Elm Bark.
