Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria), also known as mead wort or bee grass, is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Rosaceae family. It can be recognized by its reddish and hairless stem and its fragrant flowers at the top, which give off a characteristic odor reminiscent of "medicine" when crushed. This characteristic also earned the name vegetable aspirin because it contains salicylic acid.
