This Gentian Root tincture is very effective as a "digestive bitter". I bought it many times through Amazon; then finally bought it here, directly through HerbEra. It is consistently good at stimulating various digestive "juices", including bile flow, especially if you add a little ginger powder to it. Hold it in your mouth awhile, swish and swallow it only slowly and gradually. As a consequence, I can hear various digestive noises happening. Previously, I had tried another brand but it was not as strong as HerbEra's. Also, they had added too much sweetening glycerin - thereby reducing the effectiveness of their product. (It's supposed to taste Bitter.) But HerbEra is reliable and effective; I've never received a bottle that I wasn't happy with. Consistent quality.
