Most commonly known as dodder, Cuscuta is a parasitic plant usually yellow or orange in color. On rare occasions, it grows with a greenish tinge. It is the only member of the Cuscutaceae family that has characteristics of the Convolvulaceae (herbaceous climbing plants). In tropical areas, they can grow up to the canopy of shrubs and trees. While in temperate environments, they appear annually, every spring.
