Ceylon Cinnamon is a bushy evergreen tree native to Sri Lank, belonging to the Laurel family. There are two cinnamon types, Cinnamomum cassia and Cinnamomum Verum. While both are sold as cinnamon, the former is less pungent and is the one commonly found on spice racks in every household.
