Gentian (Gentiana lutea) is a perennial herb native to mountainous regions of Europe from the Gentianaceae family. It inhabits rich meadows and mountainous lawns between 500 and 2500 meters above sea level and grows mainly in Europe and Asia. It is also called yellow Gentian, common Gentian, or cinchona of Europe. The flowers are grouped in a whorl all along the long stem, and the golden yellow petals open in a star shape. The plant takes ten years to flower, and its roots can reach 1.50 meters in length. I ACCIDENTALLY CUT THE DROPPER TOP WITH SCISSORS. NOW I USE A SMALL ACCO CLIP TO SEAL THE BOTTLE. SO, BE CAREFUL OPENING THE WRAPPER.

This gentian tincture is fantastic. The vegetable glycerin adds a touch of sweetness that helps with the bitterness of the gentian, which is still quite bitter but just as powerful as the alcohol-based version. I always take this before meals to boost my stomach acids, and it has been a real lifesaver for me. It even helps with my acid reflux, which is due to poor digestion.
Since I use gentian regularly throughout the day, the glycerin extract is a smart option to keep my alcohol consumption to a minimum. I'm really happy I came across this product!
