Chelidonium Majus is a perennial plant that is commonly known as Greater Celandine. The plant belongs to the Ranunculus Ficaria family and is native to Western Asia and Europe. It happens to be the only plant in the Chelidonium genus. Greater Celandine’s genus name is a Greek word that means a flowered swallow. All parts of the plant are poisonous to humans. However, the plant has a history of medicinal and herbal usage. It was considered quite effective in removing warts.
